Reiki healing predates recorded history. Many believe the symbols have always been available to use in times of need. And that they were passed on, in secrecy, from chosen healer to chosen healer in every culture and civilization ever to appear on earth. It is said that Jesus, during his lost years as a wanderer, mastered the symbols and used them in his miraculous healings. And that other gifted healers through the ages similarly drew upon the tremendous energy potential inherent in each symbol.
Today, as in the past, each Reiki healer is specially attuned to work with the system at three levels. At Level One, the symbols are placed within the auric field of a Reiki Student, who can then use them unconsciously in hands-on healing work. At Level Two, mastery is achieved as the symbols are reattuned for use at a conscious level so they can be drawn or visualized to amplify healing capabilities in both physical hands-on and mental long-distance healing sessions. At Level Three, mastery is extended through further attunement that enables and supports teaching Reiki and attuning others at all three levels.
At any level, you can study the methodology in depth and integrate correlations between chi, hara, pranayama, chackras, kundalini, and energy fields by any other name. And you can learn volumes of interesting facts about healing over the centuries and the universal imagery and archetypal power inherent in each specific symbol.
Or you can just do it.
