There are spring meadows to see,
Green grass that glistens in the dew;
Fields full of flowers to walk through for hours.
Here’s Looking At You.
There are waves, winds blowing free,
Water and sky supply the blue;
Shells in the sand, your hand in my hand.
And Here’s Looking At You.
And my eyes have seen the glory of September
In each yellow, red, and orange tapestried glen.
And since you’ve come to me,
Suddenly I can see them again…
Again!
Where for years gray used to be
My days blaze with every shade and hue,
Colors to share with you, so aware there,
Here’s Looking At You.
There are skyscrapers of light,
Dazzling each darkened avenue,
Each night we scanned that bright wonderland…
And Here’s Looking At You.
There’s a match bursting in white,
Piercing the blackness through and through;
And in that flare, I see you and stare there.
Here’s Looking At You.
And my eyes have seen the glory all around me,
In the works of nature and the workings of men.
And since you’ve come to me,
Suddenly I can see them again…
Again…
Quietly, and with delight,
I watch new wonders fill my view,
Savoring each sample; Now, for example,
My love, Here’s Looking At You.
